Servest Catering ,a division of the Servest Group has an opportunity for dedicated youth who would like to enhance their skills and gain a formal qualification in professional cookery. The successful candidate will be placed on a learnership program which will be for a period of 12 months of theory and practical learning.

  • Food preparation principles
  • Food production methods
  • Kitchen procedures and controls
  • Basic food science principles
  • Nutrition
  • Food presentation and styling
  • Work integrated learning


  • Have passed Grade 12 / Matric
  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Willing to be on a 12 months fixed term contract
  • Passionate about hospitality and cooking
  • Clear criminal record
  • Available immediately

  • Good organizational skills are essential, as well as teamwork and strong customer orientation.
  • Other competencies required are an ability to work under pressure as part of a team, excellent communication skills and precise and meticulous work.
  • Service-orientated personality
